Junior Programme Funders

Much of the club's junior volleyball programme in local schools is provided free of charge to both schools and the young people who play volleyball.

This is only possible due to the generous support from various grant and trust foundations and of course the work of club volunteers in writing grant applications.

The club wishes to both acknowledge and thank the following grant awarding bodies and trusts for their support:

Grantham Yorke Trust

The trust provided the club with £1000 in April 2009 to provide curriculum time taster sessions as part of a programme to introduce young people to the sport of volleyball in the Northfield and Longbridge areas of the city.

Grassroots Grant

Part of the club's £4.7k grassroots grant application included funding for junior volleyball equipment, volunteer expenses (some to be used to help cover volunteer coaching costs in local schools) and a summer volleyball festival.

National Lottery Awards for All

In December 2008 the Awards for All programme granted the club £10,000 to develop junior volleyball in the South West of the city, with funding being provided for equipment, coach development, coaching time and facility hire for half-term club and summer activities.

Local Network Fund

The LNF provided £5.7k to help the club establish its first schools club links back in November 2007, and was the first funding the club attracted to develop junior volleyball in city.
