During 2009-2010 UBVC will fundraise for the Children's Hospital.

Following recent seasons of being sponsored by various companies the University of Birmingham Volleyball Club is pleased to announce that for the 2009-2010 season we will adopting the Birmingham Children’s Hospital as our chosen charity.

Following committee discussions the decision was made that the club will for the 2009-2010 season be doing various fundraising events for the hospital as well as displaying the Birmingham Children’s Hospital name across training t-shirts as a constant reminder to club members why we have chosen to be linked with such a worth while cause. This move continues the club’s tradition of reaching out to people across the city who may be considered less fortunate than others.

Membership Officer Kieron Bradley said:

‘I believe this to be a very worthwhile cause as fundraising for a set charity will allow members to be focussed towards one thing throughout the season. This is a very exciting prospect for the club and we do hope that the money we raise can be put to effective use in the children’s hospital.’

Fundraising events will be happening throughout the season and club members are encouraged to get involved as soon as possible so that we can raise the most money possible for such a worthwhile cause.
