UBVC Opens Summer Schedule
Sunday 6th June 2010

Players have fun in the Birmingham sun
Now that the indoor season has officially come to its triumphant end with UBVC bringing home much silverware, the opportunity now arises for all players and coaching staff to enjoy a break away from the intensity of competition. However just because the season has finished, that does not mean the end to volleyball in the club until September.
UBVC now turns its attention to a summer schedule which will still include some indoor volleyball due to the unpredictable British weather, but also to some much needed ourdoor fun. During the summer months the club will, whenever possible, be dusting off the outdoor nets and playing on any available grassland. This will normally be at Selly Park in Birmingham however suggestions are welcome of other possible venues.
As well as the recreational outdoor volleyball the club will continue its weekly Tuesday 6-8 Come and Play session at King Edwards Boys School. There will also be some higher standard National League recreational sessions to come after the university exam period. As well as this UBVC looks to enter as many teams in outdoor tournaments as possible. As well as the local Sandwell Tournament, there are outdoor grass and beach tournaments accross the whole country. For further information, or if you would like to enter a team in a tournament that we haven't yet covered, please contact a member of the committee.
UBVC would like to wish all of its members a restful summer, and we look forward to seeing you all out on the grass or sand at various times
