Welcome to the first club newsletter of the year - a little later than we had hoped but then we have had a few more people in the club than we expected keeping us all busy.

Whatever the session you attend and team you play for, we hope that you are enjoying being part of the volleyball club and we hope to see you out on one of the club's many social events over the course of the coming year. If you have anything you would like the club to organise please talk to one of the committee.

Finally, a big thank you to all those of you who have offered to volunteer your time to help out running the club. Rest assured we will be in touch with you soon if we have not already done so...!

Club Membership Benefits

There are a number of benefits of being a club member, please make the most of them!

  • Free physiotherapy assessments on Monday and Thursday mornings between 11 am and 1 pm. This will allow athletes the opportunity to get advice on diagnosis and prognopsis of their injuries as well as information on how to manage the injury optimally. We advise that you go along to the physiotherapy department in the Munrow Sports Centre before 11am and sign up on the notice board outside the treatment room. Appointments will be offered on a first come, first serve basis!
  • £10 discount off normal student rates (£28) for the first 2 sessions of treatment with Physiokinetic, the University's on-site physiotherapists.
  • 15% discount on hair and 10% on beauty (including deep tissue sports massage) at Hushhair: www.hushhair.com.

Club t-shirts have arrived and we will be giving them out this coming week.
